David’s journey into recovery began through hardship, incarceration, and deep personal transformation. After serving time in prison, he made the decision to change the direction of his life — not only for himself, but for others who were walking similar paths. That season became a turning point, shaping his desire to give back and serve those struggling with addiction.
Having walked through addiction himself, David brings authenticity and understanding to his work as a recovery coach and provider of transitional housing. He doesn’t lead from theory — he leads from lived experience. His message is simple and powerful:
"Your past does not define your future, and freedom is possible".
Today, David is a devoted husband, a loving father, and a trusted mentor to many of those he coaches. Known for his honesty, compassion, and steady presence, he is deeply committed to helping others rebuild their lives with accountability, dignity, and hope.
Star’s story is one of resilience, perseverance, and redemption. Originally from Germany, she returned to the United States as a single mother of three young children, facing immense financial and emotional strain. During a long and difficult season, she often relied on the support of friends and family, unsure where the next rent payment or meal would come from.
Over time, the weight of responsibility and uncertainty led Star into a struggle with alcoholism as a way to numb stress and pain. But through recovery, faith, and perseverance, she began rebuilding her life
— step by step.
It was during this season of healing that she met David, and together they discovered a shared calling rooted in compassion, faith, and service. Today, Star is a wife, mother of five, and a source of strength and empathy for others navigating recovery. Her lived experience allows her to connect deeply with those facing instability, shame, or fear — offering understanding, encouragement, and hope grounded in real life.
